Ms. Zheng Ruohua has been chosen by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center as the next chairwoman. She will officially start to perform her duty as a chairwoman from January 1, 2014.
Ms. Zheng Ruohua is a renowned expert in international arbitration. She currently is the deputy-chairwoman of the International Commission of Commercial Arbitration (ICCA) and a member of the expert panel in International Center for Settlement of Investment Disputes. And she is also an arbitrator with such organizations as the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center and the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. She was elected as the chairwoman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 2008.
With regard to being chosen as the chairwoman of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center Ms. Zheng Ruohua believed that Hong Kong enjoyed profound culture in international arbitration and boasted both seasoned experts and budding young talents, which were all precious treasure to the world. Ms. Zheng Ruohua would devote herself to further improving the status of the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center as a renowned international arbitration organization during her term in the office, thus providing better service to all the participants of the arbitration process.
